In the PathFinder Bank SBS Tony White Memorial, will somebody other than Dave Gruel or Mike Bond get to victory lane? Four months of hype are just about over as the first ever $10,000 to win “King of Wings” supermodified event is set for the Oswego Speedway on Saturday July 11th. Forty one race teams from MSA, ISMA and the Oswego Speedway have pre-registered and are set to do battle for the richest first place check ever offered for winged supermodifieds. The historic racing night is sponsored by Burkes Do-It Best Home Centers, Community Bank, N.A. and AT&T.

If the buzz surrounding the first ever “King of Wings” event wasn't enough since it was announced on February 18th, the final piece of the puzzle has certainly got the attention of all the supermodified fans planning on attending the July 11th “King of Wings” and August 1st “Mr. Novelis Supermodified” races at the Oswego Speedway.

The 2009 Oswego Speedway and Novelis can recycling program looks to improve on the record setting numbers that race fans have turned in over the past three racing seasons at Oswego. Two collection dates remain on the 2009 racing schedule for fans to bring in their recyclable aluminum cans in exchange for race tickets and other Oswego Speedway prizes.

The feedback from supermodified fans from across the country that have contacted the Oswego Speedway about the first ever “King of Wings” event, scheduled for July 11th, has lead to the offering of advanced sale tickets for the first time ever at Oswego for a regular season race.
