Support Division Point Funds Climb for Oswego Speedway’s 75th Anniversary Season; Opening Night Purses Set for Pathfinder Bank SBS and Oswego County T
OSWEGO, NY (April 22, 2026) – As Oswego Speedway prepares to open its historic 75th Anniversary Season on Saturday, May 30, officials are emphasizing strong support for the Speedway’s weekly divisions with increased point funds, enhanced Opening Night purses, and a continued push for teams to join the 2026 commitment program.
Opening Night, presented by Barlow’s Concessions, will feature the 33-lap Ray Hedger Memorial for the Pathfinder Bank SBS, paying $1,333 to win, along with a 30-lap, $2,000-to-win feature for the Oswego County Tourism 350 Supermodifieds. Both events join the 50-lap, $6,000-to-win Oswego Super Challenge opener for the ISMA/MSS Winged Supermodifieds to form a blockbuster start to the season.
For the 2026 season, the Pathfinder Bank SBS point fund has grown to $10,900, paying the top 12 drivers in final standings, with the champion earning $2,500. The payout structure includes $1,500 for second, $1,200 for third, $1,000 for fourth, and continues through 12th position.
The Oswego County Tourism 350 Supermodified point fund has also increased to $6,100, paying the top 10 drivers, with the champion receiving $1,600. Second through fifth will pay $1,100, $900, $600, and $500 respectively, with payouts continuing through tenth. Drivers must compete in six point events to be eligible.
Both divisions will compete every week during the 2026 season, adding even more significance to the point fund programs and the Speedway’s commitment program for weekly teams.
“These support divisions are the backbone of Oswego Speedway,” said Race Director Chuck Handley. “The Pathfinder Bank SBS and now the Oswego County Tourism 350 Supers have been vital to our weekly program for decades, and it is important to continue rewarding the teams who support us week in and week out. We strongly encourage teams to sign up for the commitment program and be part of what we believe will be a tremendous 75th Anniversary season.”
The seasonal commitment program offers teams added benefits, including no weekly pit stall charge for those who sign on for the full campaign. Speedway officials continue to encourage competitors to complete registration and commitment forms through MyRacePass as preparations ramp up for Opening Night.
With $1,333 on the line in the Ray Hedger Memorial, $2,000 to win for the 350 Supers, and expanded year-end point funds in both divisions, Oswego’s support classes will take center stage from the first green flag of the 75th season.
