Trent Stephens Sweeps ISMA/MSS Stops at Oswego; Pockets $7,000 Win in Winged Super Challenge Finale

    By ISMA PR

OSWEGO, NY (July 20, 2024) - Trent Stephens inherited the lead on lap 38 when leader Otto Sitterly’s No. 7 went up in flames due to a blown engine and would go on to win Friday night’s ISMA / MSS / Novelis Oswego Winged Super Challenge 50 at Oswego Speedway to capture his second win of the 2024 ISMA / MSS Supermodified Series and his second win this year at Oswego. Stephens also won the series opener at The Steel Palace on June 1.

The Ohio native / Salisbury, N.C., transplant finished 0.594 seconds ahead of Ohio’s Dave Shullick Jr. for the score. Oswego regular Dan Connors Jr. finished third in the John Colloca No. 41; Mike Ordway Jr. was fourth and Oswego’s Camden Proud rounded out the top five of 21 starters.

The win in the series’ seventh feature of the season will extend Stephens points lead in ISMA / MSS. The driver of the Steve Stout-owner No. 19 entered the night with a 17-point lead over Mike Ordway Jr. / Clyde Booth.
