ALBANY, NY (January 27, 2012) – The New York State Stock Car Association (NYSSCA) celebrated the 2011 racing season in style Saturday night, honoring drivers, owners and fans at the Polish Community Center in Colonie, NY.  The 43rd annual awards banquet gathered approximately 540 guests with local track announcers John Stanley and Dan Martin serving as Masters of Ceremony.
       The Hall of Fame Induction honored six members of the stock car community including drivers Walt Mitchell, Dave Lape, Jim Shampine, Don Ackner, Rich Ricci, Sr., and car owner Mike Budka.

The very successful 2011 season at Oswego Speedway came to a close Saturday night, October 29 with it’s annual season ending award ceremony and Hall of Fame inductions.  Holiday Inn at Electronics Parkway Liverpool was  the setting, with a packed house filling the banquet room.
     The Hall of Fame Class of 2011 covered all aspects of Oswego Speedway as drivers, officials, long time employees, a racing pioneer and sponsors with name recognition synonymous with Oswego Speedway were all named to the exclusive club.
