In fact, this was also the first Wednesday night race at the Oswego Speedway since a four race series was staged for asphalt modifieds back in 1973. Having had his No. 96 get caught up in racing mishaps in its last few outings, LeVea was able to grab the lead early on Saturday night, keeping his car out of harm’s way. That is the list of fathers and sons who have won feature races at the Oswego Speedway. Abold picked up the second of the USAC Ford Focus feature races on Saturday night but he had to hold off Oswego hot-shoe, Shawn Gosselin for the win. For Abold it is his second win of 2006 after picking up the win at Seekonk back on Memorial Day Weekend. | | Read

| Saturday, June 17, 2006 | | Mike Barnes gets first Limited win of 2006.
By Oswego Speedway :: 2063 Views :: News, Race Recap | In PathFinder Bank Limited Super action, Mike Barnes from Mexico picked up his first win of the season. Barnes was a threat to win all night long as he staged a tremendous three car battle with Rob Pullen and Josh LaRochelle in his heat race. The race was marred with several yellow flags which left nearly ten of the starting twenty six cars in the pits at the end of the race. Barnes finished ahead of the driver he lost his heat race to, Rob Pullen. Coming home in third place was heat race winner Tim Barbeau. Kevin Knopp finished in fourth and Mike Bond rounded out the top five.

By Oswego Speedway :: 2431 Views :: News, Race Recap | The show that all Novelis Supermodified fans had been anticipating all week came with no let-down in excitement on Saturday night. Otto Sitterly’s two race win streak would be put to the test by the return of Greg Furlong and the always capable Tim Snyder. Those three cars were the class of the filed on this night as they charged their way to the front of the field in their Hawk Chassis. Furlong and Sitterly slowly pulled away from Snyder as the race wore down while they were posting near identical times as they toured the 5/8’s mile oval at Oswego.

For Oswego Speedway long time fans, this is the same way that Mike Muldoon began his dominance when forced to put his new #50 into service after an early season practice wreck with his old #80 over a decade ago. By Oswego Speedway :: 1919 Views :: News, Race Preview, Race Recap |  With the forecast for persistent showers moving through the Oswego area for much of Saturday June 3rd, the "Family Night" racing schedule had to be cancelled. The Oswego Speedway management decided that instead of just losing the show altogether, they would still want to have a "Family Night" as soon as they could. With a complete cancellation, the PathFinder Bank Limited Supers would have been reduced to racing just one feature in the month of June. The decision was made to take the open night on the Speedway schedule, June 24th, and turn that into a "Family Night". | | Read
