Saturday July 22nd is one of the red letter days at the Oswego Speedway in 2006, as it’s the $10,000 to win Mr. Supermodified race.  Other than Classic, this is the one everyone wants to win. The rest of the purse is exactly the same as a regular night.  The only exception is, the winners take goes from $2000 to $10,000! This increase has made for some of the closest racing you will ever see, as well as some of the most intense drama out on the race track. Picking a winner out of this one is no easy task.

July 23rd Lawnmowers Races to benefit the college fund for four year old Skylar Wallace

Mowers_200.jpgMowing down the competition will be just part of the motivation for participants in a benefit racing event set for July 23 at Oswego Speedway. The lawnmower race, to be held at the kart track behind the speedway's rear grandstand, will serve as a fund-raiser for the college fund for 4-year-old Skylar Wallace of Oswego. Skylar's birthday is July 25. Skylar's mother, Stephanie West, died this year of breast cancer at age 25. She was a life resident of Oswego.

In addition to classic cars and trucks on display the opening night band will be the Swivel Rockers performing at 7:00 on the Burkes Home Center / Galloway Realty stage. tfuller19_200.gifDefending 2005 Hoosier / Sunoco Driver point Champion, Tim Fuller, has pre-registered for the upcoming 358 Dirt Modified Special at the Oswego Speedway on Wednesday night July 26th. Fuller will bring his JL Motorsports / G&R Auto Parts #19 to the famed Oswego Speedway for the first Dirt Modified race since 1992. The Oswego Speedway has not hosted a Wednesday night race since it hosted an asphalt modified summer series in 1973.

Empire_200.jpgA big Holiday weekend is set at the Oswego Speedway brought to you by Empire Federal Credit Union and Inkspot. On Friday night the first concert of the summer was held as "Under the Gun" performed on the Burkes Home Center / Galloway Realty Stage in the infield. Tonight the PathFinder Bank Limited Supers will run a 35 lap feature and the Novelis Supermodifieds will run a Grand Prix 75 lap feature. After the racing action there will be a fireworks display and the band "Ozone" will perform on the Burkes / Galloway Stage.
