Michael Barnes re-wrote the Oswego Speedway record books Saturday night, as he became the quickest driver to win a Supermodified feature event.  In just his fourth Novelis Supermodified race at Oswego Speedway. Barnes raced away with the checkered flag becoming just the 81st driver to ever win a Supermodified feature race at Oswego Speedway.

The Novelis Supermodifieds had a new logo unveiled at the 2006 Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday night October 28th at the Turning Stone Casino and Resort in Verona. The relationship which began at the beginning of the 2005 season moves ahead for 2007 with a new dedicated logo for the Novelis Supermodified division.

The new logo and new name for the Limited Super division at the Oswego Speedway was unveiled at the 2006 Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday night October 28th at the Turning Stone Casino and Resort in Verona. The PathFinder Bank SBS Racing Series will replace the Limited Super name that the division has carried since its inception in 1992. 

The new Budweiser International Classic and SBS Classic Cups were unveiled at the recent 2006 Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet on October 28th. The Cups are already engraved with the names of the first fifty International Classic winners and the first fifteen SBS Classic winners. In commemorating the 2006 running of the 50th International Classic, the 15th SBS Classic and recognizing the 25th anniversary of Classic Week title sponsorship for Budweiser, it was decided to start a new tradition with these new cups.

The 27th Annual National Parts Peddler Racers Auction and Trade Show at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse is in the books. The Oswego Speedway was represented well at the three day event from both the Novelis Supermodified and PathFinder Bank SBS Series divisions. 2007 rule updates for both divisions were available, 2006 50th Classic apparel was on sale and 2006 Oswego Speedway racing DVD’s were shown all three days.

Technology students at SUNY Oswego have created a perfect gift for race fans and anyone who has a recreational room in their house. The new product currently under construction is a "Victory Table".

A fitting tribute for “Mr. International Classic”, Nolan Swift was put into place on Wednesday November 8, 2006. A gravesite memorial was placed that paid tribute to one of the pioneers of racing at Oswego Speedway. This memorial now marks Nolan’s final resting place at Maplewood Cemetary in Camillus.
