The Eddie Horne owned Outdoor Power Racing Team will be on display in Liverpool tonight at the Johnson Park “Summer Concert Series” in conjunction with the Oswego Speedway, the event sponsor for tonight. Josh LaRochelle, driver of the Outdoor Power #10 is the only repeat winner in the PathFinder Bank Limited Super division at the Oswego Speedway in seven events run to date. On Wednesday night, team owner and former driver Eddie Horne, will jump into the cockpit of the Josh LaRochelle team car #01 for the NORA Limited race as part of the 358 Dirt Modified and RoC Sporstman Mod Special event at Oswego.

In conjunction with the Numero Uno Break the Bank Classic Cash Contest, Uno Chicago Grill will be hosting Oswego Speedway Race Car Show this Wenesday night. When you eat dinner there during the show, up to 20% of your meal total will be returned to the Oswego Speedway to be passed along to Supermodified and Limited Super drivers.

The Community Bank / Days Inn / Parts Plus Memorial Day Weekend racing at the Oswego Speedway provided popular wins in the Novelis Supermodified, PathFinder Bank Limited Super and RoC Modified divisions. Otto Sitterly, Chris Proud and Mike Leaty all ran good races to take home the first place money on May 27th.

Best of 2006: Otto Sitterly edges out Tim Snyder on Inkspot & Empire Federal Credit Union night.

71SitterlyVL_200.jpgOtto Sitterly staved off a strong challenge from Tim Snyder to win a 75-lap feature and retain his place atop the supermodified point standings at Oswego Speedway Saturday night. Last season, Sitterly was on the verge of excusing himself from the Steel Palace with his previous No. 79 car on the auction block, although he did drive for certain other drivers and never closed the door on Oswego Speedway altogether. Now, he finds himself surrounded by well-wishers and autograph seekers at the close of each successful race.

On Burkes Home Center / Lighthouse Lanes night, Saturday August 26th at the Oswego Speedway, three drivers got into Victory Lane in the richest races of the regular season and all three were crowned their divisions Track Champions as well. Jason Spaulding, Russ Brown and Otto Sitterly all left the track as Champions.

Best of 2006: Kelly Bires wins Fleet Pride ASA 200 on June 10th. Local charity gets $4,000.

fleetpride_120x60.jpgThe pre-race hype for Kelly Bires and Travis dassow was not wasted ink as race day came to pass at the Oswego Speedway. Bires and Dassow, who were call-in guests on Joe Marotta’s radio show on June 4th and live guests on the Fleet Pride Pre Race Report on June 10th, came home with podium finishes at Oswego in the Fleet Pride ASA 200. Bires piloted his #89 to his second win in three weeks and Dassow brought his #92 home in third place.

2007 Modified Race of Champions weekend details are announced for Oswego Speedway.

The running of the 57th annual Race of Champions Weekend will take place on September 20, 21 and 22 at the famed Oswego Speedway.   The 2007 date is one week later than the past several years with the Modified 200 still serving as the highlight of the weekend on Saturday.  Once again Sunday (September 23rd) will be set aside as the rain date for any portion of the weekend’s events.
