The Oswego Speedway has installed two new color television monitors in the Coca Cola Reserved Seating Section which is located near the finish line in the front grandstand. The 27" monitors have been provided by New Vision Rentals, which also provides monitors in the Novelty Stand and the infield concession stand.

Maybe the third time will be the charm with a booking date for the popular Syracuse area band "Ozone". In 2005 they were booked for a Friday night "Party in the Pits" on August 19th. A late day change in the weather brought about tornado warnings from the National Weather Service. They had already begun their show when the weather turned sour and the crowd was a small one on that Friday night. Last Saturday night at the Oswego Speedway, the after race Fireworks display saw the start of rain in the area and the Ozone concert was cancelled before it even started.

Excitement is growing rapidly for the first annual Oswego Speedway "Old-Timers" Reunion-Picnic to be held on the speedway grounds on Saturday, July 15th.  On that date, many of the Supermodified heroes of the past will return to for this special event.

The annual Fourth of July Holiday Weekend Kids Carnival is all set for Saturday morning in East Park in Oswego. The Oswego Speedway will be represented for the third year in a row with two drivers and the Pace Truck on display.

Novelis Supermodified driver Travis Bartlett will have his red, white and blue #03 on display. PathFinder Bank Limited Driver Dave Gruel will have his red, white and blue #18 on display. Kids On-Track coordinator Patty Dixon will have the Pace Truck at the event as well.

The Kids Carnival runs from 11:00 to 5:00 and the race cars, drivers and the Pace Truck will be on hand from 11:00 to 1:30. Kids will be able to get a close up look at a Supermodified and a Limited Super. They can have their pictures taken with the cars and drivers. It will be a great way to kick off a racing Saturday in Oswego.

With the “$10,000 to Win” Novelis Mr. Supermodified event coming up on July 22nd, several race drivers are set to make their first appearance of 2006 at the Oswego Speedway on Saturday July 1st to start to get dialed in for this prestigious race.

A big Holiday weekend is set at the Oswego Speedway brought to you by Empire Federal Credit Union and Inkspot. On Friday night the first concert of the summer was held as "Under the Gun" performed on the Burkes Home Center / Galloway Realty Stage in the infield. Tonight the PathFinder Bank Limited Supers will run a 35 lap feature and the Novelis Supermodifieds will run a Grand Prix 75 lap feature. After the racing action there will be a fireworks display and the band "Ozone" will perform on the Burkes / Galloway Stage.

Brian Sobus collected PathFinder Bank Limited feature win number one on Saturday night June 24th  during RJ Caruso Accounting / C&B Farm & Garden night at the Oswego Speedway. It was no easy task as Sobus had to hold back a determined Dave Gruel for most of the twenty five lap feature event.

The Fourth of July Holiday Weekend at the Oswego Speedway should prove to be a great two nights of entertainment. On Friday night, "Under the Gun" makes their Oswego Speedway debut in an infield concert at 7 PM on the Burkes Home Center / Galloway Realty Stage. The high powered sound of one of Central New York’s hottest bands is sure to be a popular concert for their faithful followers.
