Maybe the third time will be the charm with a booking date for the popular Syracuse area band "Ozone". In 2005 they were booked for a Friday night "Party in the Pits" on August 19th. A late day change in the weather brought about tornado warnings from the National Weather Service. They had already begun their show when the weather turned sour and the crowd was a small one on that Friday night. Last Saturday night at the Oswego Speedway, the after race Fireworks display saw the start of rain in the area and the Ozone concert was cancelled before it even started.

The band has been able to book a new date at the Oswego Speedway for Saturday night August 5th. It is the final early start time of 2006 with the first heat race scheduled to take the green flag at 4:00. The RoC Modifieds will be in town on that night running a 75 lap special as a tune up to their 125 lap race on Friday night September 1st during Classic Week. In addition to the RoC Modifieds being at the Oswego Speedway, August 5th is also a corporate hospitality night for both Kodak and Bristol-Meyers Squibb.

There will be plenty of racing and plenty of fans, a perfect combination for an after race "Party in the Pits".
