The Fourth of July Holiday Weekend at the Oswego Speedway should prove to be a great two nights of entertainment. On Friday night, "Under the Gun" makes their Oswego Speedway debut in an infield concert at 7 PM on the Burkes Home Center / Galloway Realty Stage. The high powered sound of one of Central New York’s hottest bands is sure to be a popular concert for their faithful followers. The cover charge for the Under the Gun concert is $5. For families coming out there will be no cover charge for kids twelve and under. No coolers will be allowed.
On Saturday night the Novelis Supermodifieds are back in action In the Empire Federal Credit Union and Inkspot Grand Prix 75. Mike Ordway will make his 2006 debut in the #61. Pat Abold will be behind the wheel of the back-up Craig Rayvals car #95. Greg Furlong will be piloting the Furlong team car #22 that Bentley Warren will be in most of 2006 and in Furlongs #72 will be ISMA stand-out Chris Perley. Oswego Speedway feature winners Otto Sitterly and Tim Snyder will make this a night for Supermodified fans to enjoy. The PathFinder Bank Limited Supers will run a 35 lap special of their own. After the racing action ends there will be a fireworks display and the Syracuse-based band "Ozone" will take to the Burkes / Galloway stage for a concert of their own in a post race pit party. Come on out to the Oswego Speedway this Friday and Saturday for some great local band and fireworks both on and off the track. |
