ASA Late Model Series Challenge Division points leader Kelly Bires and current fourth place points holder, Travis Dassow were guests on Joe Marotta’s live radio show this Sunday morning from 9:00 to 10:00. Both Kelly and Travis talked about their upcoming appearance at the Oswego Speedway on Saturday June 10th in the inaugural running of the ASA Fleet Pride 200. In addition to being the overall points leader, Kelly Bires is also the current Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the Year points leader as well. Bires won his first ever ASALMS Challenge Series feature on May 27th in Wisconsin at the Madison International Speedway. Bires took over the points lead by just four points over Chad Wood who started on the pole after breaking the ASALMS qualifying record at MIS, previously held by Matt Kenseth. Bires will be looking to stay at the top of both points lists as the ASALMS makes its trip to the Oswego Speedway on June 10th. Travis Dassow currently sits fourth in the ASALMS Challenge Series points in his second season with the tour. In 2005, Dassow was a serious contender all season long for the Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the Year award. He earned three top five finishes in 2005 including a third place finish at Sandusky, Ohio. |
