Saturday night June 3rd is the first of three special aluminum recycling nights at the Oswego Speedway in 2006. The Oswego Novelis Works in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity will be holding a can collection across the street from the Speedway on the corner of Shampine Drive and East Albany StreetNovelis will be encouraging everyone to buy aluminum cans and recycle…making every can count.

Proceeds from these collections will go to benefit the Oswego County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Aluminum cans help build Habitat for Humanity Homes right here in Oswego. Please recycle.

On each of the three dates this summer, June 3rd, July 22nd and August 12th, fans that bring 24 cans to the Novelis / Habitat for Humanity display will be entered into a drawing that will be awarded each night for a pair of 2006 Classic Week Tickets. For fans who bring 100 cans they will automatically receive a pair of Classic Week tickets for their donation. The collection area will be open from 3:30 to 6:30 across from the Speedway.

This Saturday night is “2 for 1” admission night. Events in addition to the regular racing include a pre-race kids autograph session, a 30 lap Enduro and the annual Demolition Derby. Gates open at 4:00, autographs are at 5:15 with racing to follow.

Get your can to the Oswego Speedway this Saturday night and you could be coming back to see some Classic Week races for free with your donation of cans to Novelis and Habitat for Humanity.
