July 31st is the final Novelis can collection date for the 2010 season at the Oswego Speedway and fans continue to support the great recycling efforts to help out the “Cans for the Community” project which supports kids programs in Oswego County School Districts.
Through the July 17th race date and can collection event, the total number of cans that have been collected since the program first began in 2006 is over 465,000 cans. All fan donated cans and those from the weekly trash chutes from the Oswego Speedway all go to the Scriba Lane Redemption Center, which has increased their amount for each can to six cents for the 2010 Novelis can collecting efforts.
The final collection date of the year always has special prizes for the top donators. The donation of 100 or more New York State 5 cent recyclable cans from the same household on July 31st will earn one family member a $10 Food Voucher for the concession stands which translates to a redemption value of 10 cents per can. All households donating more than 1,000 cans will win grandstand general admission for two on Saturday and Sunday of Classic Weekend. One fan at random will be selected to win (2) VIP Tower Passes and be guests of the Oswego Speedway on Bud Light and Davis Bros. Saturday for the Bud Light Super National and SBS Bud Light Classic races. The grand prize added for July 31st is a five lap ride in the 2-Seater Supermodified donated by Chris Nelson Insurance. That ride will be taken on August 21st as Chris Nelson Insurance sponsors twin feature "Track Championship" night.
Save all your cans and try to be one of the big prize winners on July 31st or be one of the top twelve winners in the final 2010 Novelis Fan Can Chase program. |
