This week is the first of two "Kids Autograph Sessions" for 2008. The Novelis Supermodifieds, The PathFinder Bank SBS Series will be joined by the Briggs & Stratton Tobias Slingshots and the Tobias SpeedSTR’s. The night of racing is sponsored by Dunkin Donuts and Constellation and Entergy Northeast. This is also the second of three Novelis and Habitat for Humanity recyclable can collection nights at the Speedway in 2008. The one fan that donates the most New York State five cent deposit cans today will win two Sky Deck Passes for Saturday and Sunday of Classic Week.

A regular sponsor for the first Kids Autograph Night season is Dunkin Donuts. Dozens of Dunkin Donut locations in Oswego and Onondaga County are headed by businessman Roy Clark. Dunkin Donuts has been a long time sponsor here at the Oswego Speedway. The group that Roy Clark is associated with has opened over two dozen locations since taking over the Oswego stores in 2005. One of the staples at Dunkin Donuts over the years has been their excellent coffee and the different coffee products that they have introduced into the marketplace. Iced coffee has been a big success during the summer months. Another customer favorite this time of year is the Coolatta. Other introductions into the marketplace from Dunkin Donuts have been Espresso, Latte and Cappuccino. These drinks are the perfect compliment to their menu items of donuts, muffins, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches. The newest items at Dunkin Donut locations include Oven Toasted sandwiches and pizza.

Constellation Energy and Entergy Northeast have been long time sponsors of various Kids On-Track activities here at the Oswego Speedway. They sponsor Kids On-Track Pace Truck rides all but two weeks of the regular season. On those two weeks, like tonight, the Pace Truck rides are replaced with the Kids Autograph Sessions. This is an opportunity for kids and their families to go down onto the race track before the races start and meet all of the drivers and collect autographs from them. Constellation Energy and Entergy Northeast also sponsor the Oswego County BOCES built “Mini-Supermodified” 8ball of legendary race car driver Jim Shampine. Constellation Energy and Entergy Northeast are always found in the community supporting events for kids and families. At the end of July they will be main sponsors again for the annual Harborfest celebration on Oswego.

The Oswego Speedway welcomes back sponsors Dunkin Donuts, Constellation Energy and Entergy Northeast. The racing action begins Friday night with the Tobias Slingshots on the dirt oval behind the back grandstands. Tonight, the Novelis Supermodifieds and PathFinder Bank SBS Series will be joined by the Tobias Slingshots and the Tobias SpeedSTR’s with Erin Crocker and Ray Evernham scheduled to race.
