A partly sunny Wednesday served as the background for the first track rental of the season at the Oswego Speedway. Some PathFinder Bank Limited Supermodifieds took advantage of the day to try some new set-ups on old cars and in some cases try out some new cars altogether in the practice session that lasted from 12:00 until 4:00. The Outdoor Power team cars were on hand with Terrells Potato Chip Rookie of the Year candidate Shannon Jones in the #01 and “Mr. PathFinder Bank Limited Super” Michael Barnes helping to set up the #10 for Josh LaRochelle who could not be at practice. Brian Sobus had the #79 on hand and it sports a new paint scheme with some new sponsors. Defending PathFinder Bank Limited Super Track Champion Russ Brown was her with the #13 as was points runner-up David Gruel with his #18. Jack Patrick was on hand to show of his beautiful new Hedger Chassis #9. This car looks nothing like the old #9 and Jack hopes to take it to Mimi’s Victory Lane during the 2006 season along with the other potent Hedger cars that were on hand for the practice session. Photos from the practice session were posted to the Oswego Speedway Photo Gallery before the practice session ended and more photos may be added after it is over. Be sure to check out the new cars and paint schemes from the first practice session of 2006. |
