Mike Bond, Doug Didero and Bill Hebing visited Victory lane for the first time in 2007 at the Oswego Speedway on State Farm of Oswego, Garafolo's Importing & House of Sasauge and Parts Plus night. Bond and Didero are regular visitors to Victory lane at Oswego but for Hebing it marked his first ever Modified win at the Speedway.

Mike Bond, who got out of the gates quick in 2007 had seen his luck take a nose-dive over the past month at the Speedway and that earned him a handicapped starting position outside of row number one in the PathFinder Bank SBS Series 30 lap feature on State Farm of Oswego and Garafolo’s Night. Pole sitter Jack Patrick got off to the early lead but Bond got by him in the early going and led a closely fought race for the remainder of the event. Alan Barker and Russ Brown were the drivers on the charge behind Bond for most of the race. Brown passed Barker for second place on lap twenty three as the caution flag flew. Brown had to restart in third place behind Barker and fell to fifth over the final seven laps. At the finish it was Bond followed by Barker, Patrick, Tim Barbeau and Brown. Alan Barker brought the Pike #60 home in second place as one of his car owners, Charlie Pike, is fighting for his life in a Cooperstown hospital where he is undergoing treatment for cancer. The Cooks Jewelers Heat Race wins went to Jack Patrick, Mike Bond and Russ Brown. The Cutro Professional Inspections feature “Up ‘n Comer” was Danny Kapuscinski. The LocalTrax.com “Hard Charger” was Danny Kapuscinski. The Butler Disposal “Hard Luck” driver was Shawn Walker. The SBS Racing News “Pass of the Race” was made by Alan Barker. The Whites Car Care “4th Place Bonus” went to Tim Barbeau. The Maid Pro “Clean Sweep” award went to Mike Bond.

Joe Gosek was in the same spot that Mike Bond was entering the night of racing. Despite a great start to the season which included two wins and turning in the fastest lap time ever in a non-winged supermodified, his luck had escaped the team over the past month too. Like Bond, Joe’s handicapped starting spot put him on the front row for the Novelis Supermodified 45 lap feature. On this night however, the fastest times were turned in by Doug Didero in the Booth #61 in his heat race. Gosek got out to a comfortable lead in the feature but Didero cleared traffic and started to reel in Gosek. The two cars swapped the lead on consecutive laps in traffic between turns three and four before they made contact with each other in turn two. This time Didero was by for good. Greg Furlong applied pressure to Gosek and picked off second place as the race wound down. After nothing but bad luck in his few visits to Oswego in 2007, Didero picked up the win. Furlong followed him across the line in second. Gosek settled for third. Bob Bond drove a great race in his new #25 to finish in fourth place and Michael Barnes rounded out the top five. The Burkes Home Center Heat Race wins went to Greg Furlong, Doug Didero and Joe Gosek. The J&K Plumbing, Heating – A/C “Up ‘n Comer” was Bob Bond. The Jakes Automotive “Hard Charger” was Greg Furlong. The Colosse Cheese “Hard Luck” award went to Keith Shampine. The 2 Xtreme Auto Transport “Pass of the Race” was turned in by Doug Didero. The Maid Pro “Clean Sweep” award went to Doug Didero.

The Parts Plus RoC Modified 75 lap feature was a shoot out between Bill Hebing and Matt Hirschmann. Hebing ran up front for the entire event but Hirschmann was there every step of the way applying pressure. As those two ran one-two the cars of Chuck Hossfeld and Billy Putney ran bumper to bumber in third and fourt with a closing Mike Laetry in fifth. At the finish it was Hebing with Hirschmann on his bumper in second. A couple of car lengths back was Hossfeld with Putney on his bumper. Leaty rounded out the top five. Heat race wins went to Rick Kluth, Matt Hirschmann and Chuck Hossfeld.
