They will again be sponsoring the Super Rookie Classic Challenge in conjunction with Doug Heveron appearances at the Speedway and new for 2006 they will also sponsor the Novelis Supermodified Rookie of the Year award.

The Rookie Classic Challenge is a fan based contest that will award winning fans two Oswego Speedway tickets for at least three events that Doug Heveron competes in during 2006. Those dates are the Community Bank / Days Inn Jim Shampine Memorial 75 on May 27th, the Empire Federal Credit Union / Inkspot Grand Prix 75 on July 1st and the Novelis / OCNB “Mr. Supermodified” on July 22nd.

The individual race tickets will be raffled off one week prior to the above mentioned race dates and the raffle tickets will be $1 per chance. There will also be a $2 raffle ticket which will reward the winner with two tickets to the 50th Annual Budweiser Classic Week events and there will be a $5 raffle ticket with a prize of two Pit Passes for the Budweiser Classic Week.

Details will be announced on the website and at the Speedway about purchasing raffle tickets. The proceeds from all three raffles will be split between the highest qualifying rookie and the highest finishing rookie for the Budweiser Classic. (In 2005 Mike Lichty swept both awards and collected all of the money!)

Beachland Cleaning Services has also increased their exposure at the Oswego Speedway by becoming the sponsor for the 2006 Novelis Supermodified Rookie of the Year award to be presented on Sunday of Classic Week. This cash award will go to the rookie who places the highest in the Shell Oil / Hoosier Tire / Coca Cola Novelis Supermodified point standings.
