2007 Oswego Speedway two-time feature winner and 1996 Indy 500 veteran Joe Gosek is joined by nine-time Indy 500 veteran Davey Hamilton in competition on Ferris Industries and Oswego Bagelry and Sandwich Shop night. The USAC Ford Focus Midget Series and the Antique Sprint Cars will also be on hand as four classes of cars are on the race night schedule.
The USAC Ford Focus Midget Series promises to have the largest field of cars ever assembled at the Oswego Speedway since they first competed back in 2005. The Northeast Region is expecting several cars from the Carolinas and the total field should be close to two dozen cars as they compete in their longest race ever at Oswego, a 35 lap feature event. The schedule card is rounded out with a visit from the Antique Sprint Cars.
The Oswego Bagelry and Sandwich shop continues their sponsorship as a race night sponsor again in 2007. The shop, originally opened as the Bridge Street Bagelry in 1988, has since relocated to 205 West First Street and changed its name to reflect an expanded menu. In addition to the freshest bagels in Oswego and their specialty home-made flavored cream cheeses, they serve salads and some of the largest hot or cold sandwiches you’ll find anywhere. They are open weekdays from 5:00 to 3:00 and on weekends from 6:30 to 2:00.
Ferris Industries is back too as a race night sponsor in 2007. Ferris Industries has been associated in one form or another with the Oswego Speedway since the early days of the SBS Series when Justin Shea used to drive the Ferris Industries #27 in the old “Limited Super” division. Ferris Industries brings new mowers to the marketplace every year. Some of their recent introductions include the 1500Z capable of tackling tight places, the 3000Z which has a 26 hp Kowasaki engine and the 4500Z which offers the choice of a 28 hp Cat diesel engine or a 35 hp Briggs and Stratton gasoline engine. Ferris is also known for their unbeatable warranty programs on their products.
The Oswego Speedway welcomes back long-time sponsors Oswego Bagelry and Sandwich Shop along with Ferris Industries as they sponsor this four series night of racing and the appearance of IRL driver Davey Hamilton back in the supermodified ranks to compete with Oswego's former Indy 500 veteran Joe Gosek. |
