Pat Furlong and Steve Gioia from Oswego Speedway and Kevin Jaycox and Randy Burch of the Midwest Supermodified Association (MSA) met on Saturday January 6th at the Oswego Speedway Offices to finalize a three race MSA/Oswego Winged Supermodified Challenge Series.

The race dates will be Saturday June 9th and Saturday July 14th at Oswego Speedway in New York and Saturday September 15th at Sandusky Speedway in Ohio. The Oswego Speedway has already received a commitment from ISMA President Howie Lane to run the 14th Annual Bud Light ISMA Supernationals on Saturday September 1st of Labor Day Weekend during Budweiser Classic Week racing action at Oswego.

The addition of the MSA/Oswego Challenge to the ISMA race truly makes the Oswego Speedway the "Home of the Supermodifieds" in 2007 as it will be the only track in the nation hosting all three groups of Supermodified teams in competition. Mark the dates on your racing calendar and plan on being at Oswego to see all of the stars of Supermodified racing in 2007 as the weekly Oswego non-winged Supermodifieds will bolt on wings and be joined by the best teams from the MSA and ISMA on June 9th, July 14th and September 1st. Then it's off to Sandusky for the MSA Supermodifed Point Championship night on September 15th. 

Also attending the meetings on January 6th at the Oswego Speedway were the Novelis Supermodified representatives Pat Strong and Bob Hoefer along with the PathFinder Bank SBS representatives Eddie Horne and Tom Aaserud. All four representatives were collecting information from the Speedway for the 2007 season so that they can set up meetings with their respective divisions during the balance of the off-season.

Just like the unusual winter weather that Central New York has been experiencing, the 2007 racing season at Oswego Speedway is starting to heat up with anticipation for these and other new events. Stay tuned for further schedule announcements.
