The 27th Annual National Parts Peddler Racers Auction and Trade Show at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse is in the books. The Oswego Speedway was represented well at the three day event from both the Novelis Supermodified and PathFinder Bank SBS Series divisions. 2007 rule updates for both divisions were available, 2006 50th Classic apparel was on sale and 2006 Oswego Speedway racing DVD’s were shown all three days. The Speedway Booth, larger than in recent years, took up the area of three regular booths. Josh LaRochelle had the Outdoor Power SBS Series #10 on display that carried him to two feature wins in 2006 and a fine third place finish in the point standings in just his sophmore season behind the wheel. Joe Hawksby Jr. had the brand new Shawn Muldoon #1 chassis on display for all to see what is at the heart of the lightning quick "Hawk Chassis". Ohlins Shocks had a representative in the Oswego booth to answer questions about their shocks to several Oswego owners and drivers that stopped by. The Oswego Speedway display was set up between Thomas Video Productions to the right and Sherwood Racing Wheels to the left. Large crowds gathered to watch some of the 2006 racing action all three days with the Bud Light Super Nationals getting the biggest audience each time the popular win for Bentley Warren was shown. The Oswego Speedway also took part in Joe Marotta’s live broadcast of "Around the Tracks" on Sunday morning with Tonya Moshell from DIRT and Corkey Stockham from the National Parts Peddler. The next show for the Oswego Speedway to participate in will be the Gater Racing News Motorsports Expo 2007, taking place March 9th, 10th and 11th at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. |
