The much anticipated new book "50 Years: Oswego Speedway International Classic" by George Caruso, Jr. with Carol Haynes will be available for the first time at the 2006 Oswego Speedway Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet this Saturday at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, New York. 

The edition will be a four hundred page hardbound book covering the first fifty International Classic events at the Oswego Speedway from Jack Murphy’s win in the first race back in 1957 right up to Greg Furlong’s victory this past Labor Day Weekend.

 The book will feature hundreds of black and white photos along with thirty two pages of full color photos from the first fifty events. Interviews and quotes from many of the former race winners will be included in the race recaps along with all of the stats from the Classic races and qualifying attempts.

George Caruso, Jr. will be on hand at the Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet to do a book-signing as his new book becomes available to the public for the first time at that event for $50. 

All season ending awards will be handed out along with the induction of the 2006 Hall of Fame class. New awards, new trophies and several other new items will highlight the 2006 Banquet along with one very special raffle prize that will be the talk of the banquet.
