Due to the pending weather the Thursday paid practice session has been moved to Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m.  The Mini Stock event scheduled for Thursday on the inner loop has been moved to Friday on the 5/8 mile outer loop.  This will see the Mini Stocks competing on the outer oval as they have done in years past. The paid practice will conclude at 2:00 p.m. with pits reopening at 2:30 p.m. for the Friday night racing program. The INEX Legends and 4 Cylinder Enduro will not be rescheduled due to the length of the schedule already in place.

Race of Champions Owner Andrew Harpell commented, “We wanted to give everyone as much advance notice as possible regarding the decision to revamp the schedule for Friday.”  He added, “We have been through this enough times in the past to recognize that it takes considerable time to dry the racing surface at Oswego.  “With the forecasted rain showers all we would be doing is getting people’s racing equipment wet without a high probability of getting the Thursday events in.”  Lastly he remarked, “With such a great forecast for the remainder of the weekend we are excited about being able to present a great racing program without the threat of rain delays like in the past three years.”

The Friday schedule is now setting up to be very busy for the race teams, track officials and personnel.  Pit gates will open at 9:00 a.m. on Friday with paid practice getting underway at 10:00 a.m. Pit gates will reopen at 2:30 p.m. for the Friday night racing program that will feature the SST Sportsman Modified 100, NORA Limited Super Modifieds, Factory Stocks and Mini Stocks.  Racing on Friday night will get underway at 6:00 p.m.

The Saturday schedule remains intact without any changes.  Fans are expected to be treated to a great weather day on Saturday with forecasted sunny skies and temperatures in the middle 70’s.  Saturday’s action will feature the Sunoco Race of Champions Modified 200 along with the Super Stock 75, Late Model 50 and Cup Lites 40 lap event.  Qualifying gets underway at 12 noon on Saturday.

The 13th Annual Bud Light Super Nationals are still set to take to the track on Sunday with the pits opening at 10:00, grandtsands opening at 11:00 and the first green flag set to wave at 1:00.
