Lighthouse Lanes, in conjunction with the Oswego Speedway, will host a press conference Wednesday August 30th, 2006 in preparation for the 50th annual Budweiser International Classic to be held September 4th at the Oswego Speedway. The press conference will begin at approximately 6 p.m. and will be hosted by track announcer Roy Sova. 

The press conference will grant members of the media as well as selected fans the opportunity to ask questions of some of the favored drivers participating in this year’s prestigious event.  Drivers scheduled to attend include Joe Gosek, Greg Furlong, Ray Graham, Keith Shampine and Michael Barnes.

Interest in this year’s Classic should be at an all-time high.  Six-time Classic winner Bentley Warren will again return to the Oswego Speedway.  Add in former Classic champions Mike Ordway, Joe Gosek, Greg Furlong, Tim Snyder, and Doug Heveron, plus the likes of 2004 track champion Tim Gareau, newly crowned 2006 Track Champion Otto Sitterly, Pat Abold, Bobby Santos and over 40 other drivers looking for their first classic win and you have one of the most impressive fields assembled in quite some time.
