The Oswego Speedway is proud to announce that with significant support from sponsors that the 2006 regular feature purses will increase in both the Novelis Supermodified and PathFinder Bank Limited Super divisions for 2006. The extra distance feature purses were increased in 2005 and this new increase for the regular feature purses is the first such raise in the pay-out to drivers in a number of years.

The increased purse structure, to date, has been made possible by sponsorship deals with Novelis, Shell Oil and Hoosier. Another weekly contingency award from Maid Pro will also help to increase the take home money for drivers in 2006.

For the Novelis Supermodifieds the winner’s share for a regular 45 lap feature will be raised from $1,500 to a minimum of $2,000. A total of over $800 will be spread out over the top five positions on a weekly basis. For the PathFinder Bank Limited Supers the winner’s purse for a regular 25 lap feature will raise from $500 to a minimum of $600 with a total of over $400 being spread out over the top ten positions.

The Oswego Speedway is busy working out several weekly contingency awards for drivers in 2006 and one that is already in place will add to the purse increase as well. Maid Pro Cleaning Service, recently opened here in Oswego, will be offering the “Maid Pro Clean Sweep” award on a weekly basis in 2006. For any driver that wins a heat and feature on the same night they will win a cash bonus from Maid Pro. In the Novelis Supermodified division the bonus will start out on opening night at $65 and in the PathFinder Bank Limited Super division the opening night bonus will be $56. The two bonuses are derived from Maid Pro’s Oswego location phone number, 315-342-6556, and will continue to grow each week if it goes unclaimed. This means that on the second week of the season, if the bonuses were unclaimed on opening night, the winner of the Novelis Supermodified feature will be trying to win an extra $130 and the winner of the PathFinder Bank feature will be trying to win an extra $112. Those bonuses will accumulate to almost $800 by the end of the season for the Novelis Supermodified drivers and over $600 for the PathFinder Bank Limited Super Drivers.

It is with great support from sponsors Novelis, Shell Oil, Hoosier and Maid Pro that the drivers at the Oswego Speedway will be competing for a higher regular weekly purse in 2006.
