OSWEGO, NY (August 27) – Budweiser International Classic Week is upon us.  Starting Tuesday night the festivities kick-off at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego with The Tom Baker Radio Show from 8-10pm, followed up Wednesday with the Racing Rolling Classic Bowling Tournament.  However, the party officially gets started on Speedway grounds this Thursday, August 30.

The Classic Weekend Super Cruise and ‘Party in the Pits’ will take center stage beginning Thursday evening at 5pm featuring some of the most beautiful hot rods and street machines anywhere in Central New York.  Syracuse Nationals judging will begin at 6pm with trophy presentations for Best Flames, Best in Show, Best Street Rod, Best Muscle Car, Best Truck, Best Classic, and Best Bike starting at 7:30pm.

Admission to the party and car registration is FREE.

Joining the party this year will be Good Times of Oswego and Airhop, owned by Supermodified team owner Eric Syrell, with several inflatable bounce houses for the youngsters in the crowd to enjoy.  The collection of bounce houses will be on display to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Airhop and Good Times of Oswego.  Airhop has expanded its inventory of bounce houses to a total of 10, each with its own unique theme and color.

Also on hand for the young kids in attendance will be “Hayley Star: Balloon Artist,” as she will be providing balloon animals for kids of all ages.  Joining Hayley will be Jessica Hofschulte, who will be inside the Speedway with a face painting and ‘Whoo Hair’ station to add color, glitter, sparkle, and fun to any hair for a new you.

The concession stands will be open throughout the Classic Weekend Super Cruise and ‘Party in the Pits.’

The 6th annual Oswego Kartway Classic will also be taking place on Thursday evening beginning at 6:30pm.  The Oswego Kartway is located directly behind the rear grandstand at Oswego Speedway on the clay oval known as ‘The Bullring.’

Tickets are on sale now for Budweiser International Classic Weekend through the Oswego Speedway box office, located just outside of the main pit gate at the Speedway.  To order tickets over the phone be sure to call (315) 342-0646.  Box office hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm.

Three day adult general admission passes are $104, while reserved three day admissions are $115.  Three day kids’ admission, ages 6-16, is $35, while children ages 5 and under are FREE for the weekend.

Individual day general admission prices are as follows: Friday - $25, Saturday - $42, and Sunday - $52.

Oswego Speedway events run May through September on most Saturday nights, culminating with the Fall Championship 75 on September 15th.
