OSWEGO, NY (July 23) – Oswego Speedway will be featured this weekend as a part of ‘Gasoline Alley’ during the 25th annual Harborfest celebration in Oswego, NY.  ‘Gasoline Alley’ located at the Maritime District Park in Oswego, will be open July 27-29, giving motorsports and auto racing enthusiasts their Speedway fix during the annual festival.

The Maritime District Park will host ‘Gasoline Alley’ on July 27 from 11am-9pm, July 28 from 10am-9pm, and on July 29 from 10am-4pm.  Food and commercial vendors in ‘Gasoline Alley’ will include Wendy’s Hospitality, Brad Patterson – PGA Golf Professional, and Exotic Eyewear.

Be sure to stop by the Oswego Speedway section of ‘Gasoline Alley’ to check out the race cars on display as well as the beautiful Burritt Motors Chevrolet Avalanche Speedway Pace Truck featuring 2011 track champions Joe Gosek and Mike Bond.  Speedway schedule cards and posters will also be available and fans will even have the opportunity to watch previous races from the 2012 season as a part of the Speedway’s video display.

Saturday morning at 9am Joe Marotta’s ‘Around the Tracks’ radio show will be broadcast live from ‘Gasoline Alley.’  Scheduled guests include Speedway personnel Chuck Handley, Roy Sova, and Danny Kapuscinski. ‘Around the Tracks’ can be found in the Syracuse area on WFBL 1390am, as well as on the world wide web at www.cnytalkradio.com.

Information on the popular Oswego Kartway will also be made available in ‘Gasoline Alley.’  The Kartway competes on Friday nights in the summer, and is located directly behind Oswego Speedway.  Current Pathfinder Bank SBS series competitors David LaTulip, Dalton Doyle, Josh Kerr, and AJ Bernys are all graduates of the tight clay oval.

The next event on Oswego Speedway’s schedule is the always exciting Mr. Novelis Supermodified and Mr. Pathfinder Bank SBS events on Saturday, August 4.  The Mr. Novelis Supermodified champion will walk away with a cool $10,000 in his pocket.  Ray Graham, who has won the last two Supermodified events at Oswego, is the 2-time defending champion of the annual high stakes main event.

The second Speedway autograph session will also take place on Saturday, August 4.  Grandstand gates will open at 4pm, the autograph session will follow practice, and racing will begin at 6:30pm.

General admission is set at $30, with kids 16 and under free with paid adult.  Active military with ID are also free on August 4.
