Oswego Speedway “Going Green” at Syracuse St. Patrick’s Day Parade
OSWEGO, NY (March 14) – Oswego Speedway is pleased to announce their participation in the 30th Annual Guinness Syracuse St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 17 beginning at noon. The Speedway will be presenting two beautiful racing machines to the crowd including those of Novelis Supermodified driver Dave Gruel and Pathfinder Bank SBS series veteran Jason Simmons.
The parade route will begin at Clinton Square and travel south down S. Salina St.
Those in attendance will have another opportunity to grab a 2012 Oswego Speedway schedule of events, and some lucky fans may even pick up Oswego Speedway merchandise from marchers in the parade. Take this opportunity to welcome spring and have a chance to see two of the sleek racecars that fly around Oswego Speedway on Saturday nights May through September.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Oswego Speedway to display just two of the many outstanding racecars we have on a Saturday night,” said Dan Kapuscinski, Oswego Speedway Public Relations Specialist. “We love any chance we can get to show off the Speedway and it’s racers in the Syracuse area. We hope the parade watchers like what they see, and make the trip north to the Port City this summer.”
Scotty’s Towing of Oswego will provide the flatbed hauler which will display the Lighthouse Lanes Novelis Supermodified of Dave Gruel.
The 2012 racing season at Oswego Speedway begins May 5th. Events run May through September on most Saturday nights, culminating with the Fall Championship 75 on September 15th.
The annual Speedway open practice is scheduled for April 28th.
