OSWEGO, NY (April 17, 2019) - Former Oswego Kartway champion Hannah Weltzer will serve as the trophy girl for this season’s Sunoco New York Super Stock Series Dave London Memorial on Classic Weekend at Oswego Speedway.

The 50-lap affair, scheduled for Friday, August 30, is the second of two scheduled New York Super Stock Series events on Oswego’s 2019 calendar, joining the first show which has been set for Novelis Supermodified Twin 35 Night on Saturday, June 8.

Weltzer is very much looking forward to being able to represent the Sunoco New York Super Stock Series and also the ‘Bullring’ Oswego Kartway, located behind the speedway’s rear grandstands, on Classic Weekend.

“Oswego Speedway has definitely turned into my home away from home over the years so this is like things coming full circle for me,” Weltzer said. “It will be great to have the opportunity to represent the Dave London Memorial and the Kartway during Classic Weekend.”

Weltzer, who is a current front runner on the New York Dirt Karting Series piloting the Precision Racing Products house kart, says “if you can race at Oswego, you can race anywhere” and certainly believes the Oswego Kartway has helped to pave her path in motorsports.

Hannah ran one full season at the Kartway which resulted in her championship and has over 20 feature wins including in the popular King of the Kartway, Battle at the Bullring, and Justin Lamb Memorial specials.

In addition to her track championship and checkered flags in some of the Kartway’s most well received events, Weltzer knows all about winning on Classic Weekend as well. She has been victorious in a total of four Oswego Kartway Classics won in various different divisions.

Tickets for Classic Weekend are available for purchase or renewal by phoning the speedway box office at (315)-342-0646 or sending an email to Paul Conzone at oswegospeedway@gmail.com.

On Friday, August 30 a full program for the New York Super Stock Series concludes ‘Pole Day’ for the Novelis Supermodifieds, Pathfinder Bank SBS and 350 Supermodifieds. The NYSS will run a full program of preliminary action before jumping into the 50-lap headliner.

Oswego Speedway’s 69th season of racing opens on Saturday, May 25 with Jim Shampine Memorial Twin 50’s for the Novelis Supermodifieds plus the Tony White Memorial 35 for the Pathfinder Bank SBS along with a full program for the 350 Supers.
