OSWEGO, NY (January 16, 2014) – Burris Racing Tire will continue its official sanction of Oswego Kartway during the upcoming 2014 racing season.

Oswego Kartway will kick-off its 2014 campaign with a pre-season non-point event on Friday, April 18, and will continue through the month of September with a total of 19 racing events in the coming year.

All Kartway sanctioned events will once again require use of Burris Racing Tires exclusively.

“We couldn’t be more excited to once again work with Kurt Burris, and everyone at Burris Racing Tire,” said Oswego Kartway promoter, Dan Kapuscinski.  “Burris continues to prove year after year that they have a true and consistent product that provides for safe and exciting racing, especially at our Friday night facility.”

Burris Racing Tire’s partnership with Oswego Kartway will once again allow for Burris product to be given away at the Kartway’s year-end championship banquet.

“Our partnership with Burris Racing Tire has allowed us to give back to the racers each year at our championship banquet,” said Kapuscinski.  “Last year we were able to provide several Burris Racing Tires to teams, as well as a complete set of tires and wheels as one of our rewards program awards, going to our 2013 Clone Light champion Takota Jacobson.  We are honored to be able to continue this program in 2014 at a heightened level through Burris Racing Tire.”

The Kartway saw its number of entries per race night grow to an average of 85 racers in 2013, with several new families already expressing interest in the coming season.

The 2014 track championship schedule will begin on Friday, April 25, with point contests continuing through Friday, August 15 with the running of the HRW Construction ‘Justin Lamb Memorial’ Track Championship.

The Kartway’s post-season will begin on Thursday, August 28 as kart racers from across New York State will contend in the 8th annual RJ Kart Sales and Service Oswego Kartway Classic as a part of Budweiser International Classic Weekend at Oswego Speedway.

The season will then conclude with the second edition of the Kartway’s Fall Frenzy, featuring qualifying nights on Friday, September 5 and Friday, September 12, as well as the RJ Kart Sales and Service Fall Frenzy 200 championship finale on Saturday, September 20.

The RJ Kart Sales and Service Fall Frenzy 200 will see 100-lap main events for both Stock Heavy and Clone Heavy.
