OSWEGO, NY (May 9, 2013) – Oswego Kartway is proud to announce the continuation of the Driver Rewards Program, which was introduced at the Kartway in 2012.
The program will once again be participation based, as opposed to performance based in 2013, as any Kartway member with perfect attendance during the posted dates, will be eligible to win a brand new Slack Axiom chassis provided by Oswego Kartway, Slack Chassis, and Root Racing Enterprises of Geneva, NY at the 2013 championship banquet.
The program began with last week’s Mitchell’s Speedway Press ‘Kartway Kick-Off’ on May 3 and will run through the 7th annual Kartway Classic on August 29. All 16 races between May 3 and August 29 will count toward the program, including the non-point Battle at the Bullring event on August 2.
There will be only one chance available per racer, as running in multiple classes will not earn the driver more chances at winning the chassis. Those who make a legitimate attempt to race on a given night will count as a show-up, allowing for possible technical issues during warm ups.
Drivers can switch classes at any time during the season and still be eligible, as long as they attend all 16 events.
Those who are unable to make all 16 races during the 2013 Driver Rewards Program will still be eligible for other prizes at the year-end championship banquet.
A second tier of eligibility will be set-up for those drivers missing one race, while a third tier will also be in place for drivers missing two races. Prizes are still being worked on for these two categories.
If you miss three races during the program, you will not be eligible for the 2013 Driver Rewards Program.
Oswego Kartway returns to action Friday night with its second point event of the 2013 season.
Currently the divisions standings are led by Joshua Ostrander (Sr. Blue Clone), Dylan Trump (Jr. Silver Clone), Alex Losurdo (Jr. Blue Clone), Matthew Barbour (Gold Plate), Dan Kapuscinski (Stock Heavy), Jason Moll (Clone Heavy & Clone Super Heavy), Cris Lane (Animal), Pete Palmieri (Clone Light), Alan Lane (Open), and Chris Natoli (Stock Light).
Pit gates open at 4:30pm on Friday with hot laps beginning at 6:30pm and racing at 7:30pm.
Kartway events run April through September on most Friday nights, culminating with the Fall Frenzy 150 on Friday, September 20.
