OSWEGO, NY (December 3, 2012) Mike LeBoeuf - Representatives from Oswego Speedway, Novelis, and Scriba Lane Redemption Center gathered Friday for a photo of a check presentation to the Novelis Cans for the Community program. From left are Debbie Bond, speedway marketing representative; Tom Salvador of the Novelis Cans for the Community Committee; speedway co-owner John Torrese; Don Sherwood, who along with his wife Bonnie owns Scriba Lane Redemption Center; and Dan Kapuscinski, speedway public relations director. Oswego Speedway donated 122,106 cans from the 2012 season to the program through Scriba Lane Redemption Center. The speedway’s donation of $6,105.30 and Scriba Lane’s donation of $1,831.59 added up to $7,936.89. Novelis will donate that amount through its Cans for the Community program, which assists with school and youth organization projects in Oswego County. Since the start of the can redemption program, the total number of cans donated is 749,529.
