OSWEGO, NY (March 20, 2014) – Oswego Speedway’s promotional trail continues in 2014 as the ‘Steel Palace’ heads north to Clayton, NY for the Thunder in the 1000 Islands Motorsports Expo March 22-23 at the Clayton Recreation Park Arena.

The Speedway will carry with them the always popular Supermodified simulators as well as the Canale Insurance 2-Seat Supermodified, Barry Kingsley’s Team Tapout No. 91 Small Block Super, as well as assorted Speedway merchandise and 2014 racing schedules.

“The cold temperatures may still be around but you can be sure to warm-up and think spring at the Thunder in the 1000 Islands show this weekend,” said Dan Kapuscinski, Oswego Speedway Public Relations Director.  “We are looking forward to getting in touch with racing fans in the North Country and inviting them to the racing we have in store on Saturday nights at Oswego Speedway.”

The Oswego Speedway Supermodified simulators provided by John Byrnes, Bob Garafolo, and LaGraf’s Pub in Oswego will again be on hand.

Rides at the Expo will once again be $5 a piece with 13-laps of racing being given at Oswego Speedway behind the wheel of an ISMA winged Supermodified.  Money raised will once again go toward the Kids on Track giveaway fund in 2014.

The top five fastest times on the simulators will be tracked throughout the weekend, with Speedway race tickets being awarded to those who set the top three fastest times.

Thomas Racing Videos will also be on hand with Speedway DVDs ready for purchase.
